WENDI MIRABELLA (Executive Director) was a child of the night from the very beginning... Her favorite color has always been black and Halloween her favorite holiday. (Her birthday falls just days before...coincidence?) She grew up in San Francisco, loving the dark, dank, haunting hills. Her first vampire film was “The Fearless Vampire Killers.” One of her favorite memories is attending Anne Rice’s 1995 Memnoch Ball in New Orleans, where a roomful of attendees danced the minuet in full 17th century regalia. She is an event producer and partner in Moondance Events, who after attending last year’s Comic-Con decided to create Vampire-Con to appeal to all devotees, whether they sleep in a coffin or just love the literature and films the culture has spawned. LOTTI PHARRISS KNOWLES (Co-Producer) began her mortal life in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her taste for the macabre was confirmed at an early age, when her mother was called to nursery school to explain why Lotti claimed to be a witch and kept casting spells on the other children...for two years straight. She discovered vampires when her parents took her to see "Love At First Bite," and thereafter witches gave way to Bride's of Dracula for her Halloween costume of choice. Lotti is now a writer/producer with several vampire films in development, and she loves holding an annual Horror Movie Party (now in its 14th year) for all her blood-lusty friends.
